Buy Ad Hunter

First, you must have a list of keywords loaded into Ad Hunter that you've already checked for AdWords ads.

Now click on Hunt Keywords in the main menu, then Analyze and then Show. A window similar to that shown in the image, left, should appear.

Next you want to filter out keywords with too many AdWords ads showing (high competition and therefore expensive clicks). Set the With ads less than dropdown box and click the Go button.

As shown in the image, the With ads less than value has been set to 5.

And as can be seen, only those keywords with less than 5 AdWords ads are listed (i.e. those that have only 4, 3, 2, 1 or zero AdWords ads).

You can also set a further filter, the Keyword must contain filter. Now only keywords with less than 5 ads and which contain the filter word will be shown.

As shown left, we've looked at the above list showing keywords with less than 5 ads and then added 'restaurant' to the Keyword must contain box, and then clicked the Go button again.

Two keywords have been pulled out of our main list fitting the parameters we've set - keywords with less than 5 AdWords ads and containing the word 'restaurant'.

You can also physically check the number of AdWords ads running for each keyword by highlighting an entry and clicking the Check result button - as explained previously.

One further button to explain - the Strip excess text button. All this does is strip of everything for each entry leaving just the keyword itself. Then click the Clipboard button and paste the keywords into your AdWords campaign.
