How do I ... ?
Here are some quick answers to a few
questions you may have.
How do I get a list
of article directories to submit my articles to?
Two ways - either use the master list (masterlist.urls) which comes with
ADSubmitter, or click the Article Sites Manager tab and
use Google. Enter a query such as "powered by article dashboard"
(without the quotes), or simply "article directory", or "article
directory article dashboard", or "article directory +www".
If you want a niche-type list, try something like "article directory
+finance" (for a finance-orientated list), or "article directory
+travel" (for a travel-orientated list). Just use your imagination!
How do I sign
up to the article directories?
Easy, make sure you've created a properly formatted personal details text
file (use Notepad and delete any excess spaces at the end of the
file) and that you have a list of article directory urls. Then go to the
File Paths Manager and click the Path to Details button
to load in the personal details file, and the Article sites list
button to load in the list of urls. Then click the Sign Up/Submit Articles
tab. Select the Join option at the bottom. Leave the Dry run
checkbox checked. Click the Join Article Site! button. Now watch
to see the details are being filled in properly. If they are, click Stop
on the main menu at the top. Uncheck the Dry run checkbox. Click
the Join Article Site! button again to actually send the filled-out
sign-up form to each directory. Stand by to receive a lot of emails, which
you'll have to click to complete the sign-up process.
How do I add
a pen name to a directory?
Click the File Paths Manager tab and load the Path to Details
(personal details) text file and the Article sites list (masterlist.urls)
file. Click the Sign Up/Submit Articles tab, select the option
Pen name, check or uncheck the Dry run checkbox, and then
click the Add Pen Name! button.
How do I submit
an article?
Click the File Paths Manager tab and load the Path to Details
(personal details) text file, the Article sites list (masterlist.urls)
file, the categories text file, titles text file, teaser text file, keywords
text file, Article Version A, and optionally, Article Versions B-E, and
the resource box text file. Once you've done all of that, click the Sign
Up/Submit Articles tab, select the option Article, check or
uncheck the Dry run checkbox, and then click the Submit Article!
button. NOTE: if ADSubmitter comes
across a site which you haven't added a pen name to, it'll do so automatically
and then carry on to submit your article.
Why does the personal
details text file have to be created in such a precise way?
Because it mimicks the sign-up form of each article directory. If you
didn't create it in that way, the form fields would be filled out all
wrong. So would the login form page and the pen name form, too. So, please,
stick to the exact format, which you can find by clicking the File
Paths Manager link in the Help Menu of this page. AND ALWAYS
DELETE ANY SPACES AT THE END OF EACH FILE!
Why does it take
a long time to build up your own directory url list via Google?
Because you don't want to get banned, do you? This has been done deliberately.
AdSubmitter should query Google about once every minute
or so, so there are no problems. And it's fair, too, don't you think?
You could also use Google's advanced search, and choose to pull
in 100 results. The time between queries would then be about 10 to 15
minutes.
Why do you have
to have a double space between each article paragraph?
Because AdSubmitter looks for it in order to work as it should.
There should be a double space (as in the paragraphs on this page) between
paragraphs in an article, or between each title in the title text file,
or between each comma-separated group of keywords in the keywords text
file, or between each entry in the personal details text file etc etc.
You get the idea! Just do it.
Do I have to keep
creating a personal details text file for every article I write?
No, you don't. Create it once and you can then use the same file over
and over again. Therefore, make sure you take the time to create it in
the exact format required.
Is there any way
of avoiding receiving all of the emails when I sign up to each directory?
No. The directories require you to click a link in the confirmation emails
they send you (some require you to copy and paste a non-clickable url
into your default browser instead). After all, they just want to make
sure you are human, and not some kind of software spider or bot.
Why is ADSubmitter
free?
Because I'm a kind person! To be serious, I'm hoping you'll find an ad
or two on my site freebieads.co.uk interesting enough to click. If you
do, then I earn a little bit of money. But it's not a requirement that
you have to click anything.
